Stephanie Mueller

DeForest – Stephanie A. Mueller, age 48, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at her home, surrounded by family. She was born in Madison, the daughter of Marvin and Carolyn (Lemm) Swedal, and graduated from DeForest High School in 1985. She completed her undergraduate studies in Marketing at UW-LaCrosse and was awarded her Masters of Business Administration Degree in Marketing at UW-Madison. Stephanie and Brad Mueller were married on May 30, 2003 at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Sun Prairie and have been members for many years. Stephanie had a successful career at Demco, Inc. in Madison, ultimately being named Vice-President of Marketing. She always had a love for music, and was an active member of the Madison Symphony Chorus where she was able to share her talents. She loved to travel, and enjoyed many trips throughout the world. She also had a love for animals and took in many that were strays or abandoned. She always took time to volunteer her time and talents to those organizations and people that would benefit. She had a special talent for interacting with older adults, young children, professional people and those who needed help or were struggling. She developed and kept very close friends throughout her life. She specifically adored her nieces and nephews and would do anything for them. Spending time with them was what made her happy. During her entire life she was able to light up a room but purposely would not be the center of attention. Her impression on others she leaves behind will live forever and she will be missed dearly.

Stephanie is survived by her husband, Brad; her parents, Marvin and Carolyn Swedal; her sisters, Cindy (Eric) Mack and Kimberly (Tim) Gotzion; parents-in-law, Ramona and Richard Steele; sister-in-law, Connie (Randy) Schnier; brother-in-law, Greg Mueller (Meg); nieces and nephews, Jeff (Alicia) Schnier, Becky Schnier (Tim Condon), Jordan and Natalie Mack, Clayton, Kayla, Conlan and Calvin Gotzion; and great-niece Kinleigh Schnier.

She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, Lester Mueller, and grandparents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at ST. ALBERT THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2402 St. Albert the Great Drive, Sun Prairie, Wis. with Monsignor Terrance Connors officiating. A visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest, Wis. and again on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at Church. Burial will follow at St. Olaf Catholic Cemetery, DeForest.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be written to cancer research, any animal shelter organization, programs that assist the poor or homeless in your area or a charity of your choice.
