Jeffrey McPike

MADISON - Jeffrey Clarence McPike, age 53, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and loved ones on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Agrace Hospice. Jeff was born on May 23, 1963 in Jacksonville, IL to Ruth and Milton McPike. He graduated from East High School in 1981 where he later attended UW Platteville. Jeffrey worked for many years in restaurant management. Jeff joined the Madison Police Department in 1994 and served for 15 years. During those years his favorite roll was serving as the Allied Drive Neighborhood Officer where he felt he was able to make a difference. The last years of his career were spent as a detective with the department. He was an active member of Christ Presbyterian Church where he was a deacon and usher. He truly loved cooking for church events. Jeff also taught Sunday School for many years and was a Young Life Leader where he loved working with the youth. Jeffrey enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, music, and especially spending time with his family, dogs and cat. Jeff touched many lives and will be greatly missed.

Jeff is survived by his daughters, Noelle and Eliza; mother, Ruth; brothers, Milt Jr. (Karen) and Jim (Lisa); step siblings, Becky, Kim, and Scott; mother of his children, Gretchen. Further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia; father, Milt Sr. and niece, Terra.

A service will be held at 11:OO AM at CHRIST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 944 East Gorham Street, Madison on Friday, June 24, 2016. A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of service at the church on Friday.
