COTTAGE GROVE - James “Jim” Bollig, age 59, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016, peacefully at home with family by his side. He was born on May 26, 1957 in Madison, Wisconsin.
Jim married Kathleen “Kathy” Hughes in 1979. He graduated from East High School in 1975 and then served in the U.S. Marine Corp. from 1975 until 1981. He spent his career working in construction. Jim enjoyed snowmobiling, NASCAR races, spending time in the U.P., his dogs, Tango and Cash, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his children, Dustin Bollig, Cortney Keo (Alex Mesdjian), and Jodi (Clayton) Friedland; grandchildren, Emily and Owen; mother, Maxine; brother, Ronald (Dawna); and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy and father, Peter.
In keeping with Jim’s wishes, funeral services will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona, at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 21, 2016. Visitation will be at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK from 10:00 am until the time of service.
