Redding, CA/Verona, WI - Janet Joan (Schroeder) Edwards, 82, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2016, while vacationing in Verona, Wisconsin. She was born on November 12, 1933 in Baraboo, Wisconsin. Jan moved from Wisconsin to Las Vegas, NV in 1970 and lived there for 30 years. She retired to Redding, CA in 2000 to be near her daughter, Theresa and husband Rock Ungaro and their children. Jan, a retired registered nurse, worked in the nursing field for over 40 years. She enjoyed the arts, traveling, volunteering at her church, spending time with family and friends and summering in Wisconsin with her siblings, nieces and nephews.
Jan is survived by her three siblings, Marilyn LeMoine, Dr. Norman Schroeder, James Schroeder and Jan’s three children, Mark Edwards, Anthony Edwards and Theresa Ungaro along with four grandchildren, Chase Ungaro, Chloe Ungaro, Anthony Ungaro, Lexi Edwards and newly born great grandson, Callen Ungaro. Jan was a great source of strength, support, love and wonderful humor to everyone around her and will be desperately missed.
Memorial services will be held at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 427 S. Main ST, Verona, WI, on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11:00am. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:30am until the time of service.
