Obituary
Elizabeth L. “Betty” Cole, age 87, passed away after a brief illness on August 8, 2016. She was born on November 6, 1928, the daughter of Haskel and Vera (Haverly) Seymour. Betty grew up in the Hillsboro area. She loved gardening and children and was a foster mother for babies for many years.
She is survived by her children, Roger (Phoebe), Pam Kleiber, Katie Cole, Tim (Cathy), and Doris Cole; her grandchildren, Sue (Jeffrey) Jones, R.J. (Amy) Cole, Andy (Maria) Cole, Gillian Pagaliro, Chris (Jen) Cole, and Adam (Brooke) Cole; her 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and her twin sister, Jess (Fred) Marlott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne C. Cole; her son, Robert J. Cole; her brother, Larry Seymour; and her parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Alzheimer’s Association.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
