Imogene Rose Gamble, age 88, died peacefully following a brief illness on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Waunakee Manor in Waunakee.
She was born on October 25, 1927 in Beaver Dam the daughter of Fred and Clara (Dallenjack) McMillan. Imogene was married to John R. Gamble on November 22, 1947 and was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Beaver Dam.
During her life she worked for the Weyenberg Shoe Factory, and Walmart in Beaver Dam. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed playing the slot machines at Ho Chunk, loved camping at Pride of America, and playing Mexican Train Dominos with her family. Imogene was also a lifelong Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan.
She is survived by three children, Susan (Kim) Janovitz, Sarah (Bill) Taylor, Lon Gamble, grandchildren, Aaron and Josh Janovitz, David and Katie Taylor, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son (Robert).
The family extends their thanks to the staff of Waunakee Manor for their loving care these past two years; Waunakee Manor and Home Health United Hospice for their support and guidance during her final days.
A private service will be held in the spring. Her final resting place will be Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
