Madison-Doris E. Neustadter, age 88, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2016, at Oregon Manor in Oregon. She was born on December 15, 1927, in Mauston, WI, the daughter of Raymond and Effie (O’Dell) Pharo. Doris was raised in Mauston and graduated from Mauston School. She married Bernard Neustadter on September 23, 1952 in Mauston. Doris was a lifelong member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Madison. She enjoyed volunteering for the Madison Police Department. Doris also like to needle point, and delighted in playing the penny machines at Ho-Chunk.
Doris is survived by her son, Charlie (Sherrie) Neustadter; daughter-in-law, Kim Neustadter; grandchildren, Paul (Christina), Rick (Sarah), Brittany (Robert) and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Lukas, Elizabeth, Chace, Jackson, Finley and Adeline; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Neustadter; and her son Daniel Neustadter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday, August 12, 2016, at ST PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N Sherman Ave, with Msgr. Charles Schluter presiding. A visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 10:30am to the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Peter Catholic Church in Doris’ memory.
