Madison:
Lyle William Ballentine, age 93, of Madison, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Heritage Assisted Living in Monona. He was born July 2, 1923 in Madison, the son of William and Anna (Birrenkott) Ballentine. Lyle worked 38 ½ years at U.W. Physical Plant as a sheet metal worker. He enjoyed fishing, wood carving, dancing, watching sports and generally being active. He was a member of St. Dennis Parish for more than 60 years. We will miss his friendly attitude, and generosity to all.
Lyle was loved by many and is survived by five children, Kay (Gary), Jim (Laurie), Kevin (Robin), Karen (Reid), Sharon (James); grandchildren, Kathy (Tom), Jamie, Luke, Austin, Tim; great-grandchildren, Nick and Jack; a brother, Duane (Marlene); and a sister, Carol.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Ardis and Mary Lou; son, Thomas; brothers, Donald and Bill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016 at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Monona with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Memorials may be directed to Agrace HospiceCare, 5395 E.
