Susan Fucile

Madison- Susan (Sue) K. Fucile, of Madison, passed away after battling Cholangiocarcinoma, on August 19th, 2016. She was surrounded by her family, and passed peacefully in the comfort of her own home.

Sue was born on June 17, 1940 to Blair and Ruth (Schuett) McKahan. Family was always most important; she was a homemaker while her children were young. Later, she worked at American Family Insurance in Madison for 40 years until retiring a few years ago. She was an outstanding mother and grandmother. She was always full of life, love and laughter.

She is survived by her three children; Cindy McCallan (Scott) of Melbourne, FL, Wendy Funk (Jeff) of Aurora, IL and Victoria Rusniak (Troy) of Highlands Ranch, CO. Seven grandchildren; Ashley McCallan, Courtney McCallan, Nikki Funk, Lexi Funk, Dylan Funk, Ethan Rusniak and Tate Thrower. Cousin Tom Wright (Joyce), niece Catherine Costopoulos, nephew Michael McKahan and several other nieces and nephews from the Schuett family.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Blair and Ruth (Schuett) McKahan and her brother James McKahan.

A celebration of life will be held for Susan at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of celebration. Interment will be at Mauston Cemetery, Mauston, WI at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Agrace Hospice as well as the doctors at Dean Clinic for their loving and compassionate care. Especially, nurses Shelley, Cindy and Stacey.
