Clayton Underdahl

Clayton “Clayty” Richard Underdahl, our beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, age 19, died on Monday, September 5, 2016 as the result of a tragic car accident.

He was born on May 29, 1997 in Madison, the son of Randy and Kim (Schroeder) Underdahl. Clayton graduated from DeForest High School in 2015, where he was active in FFA, wrestling, football, lacrosse, and a member of the Arlington Prairie Drifters Snowmobile Club. He was a sophomore attending college at UW-Platteville, pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. Clayty worked for many years at S&S Grain Farms and recently interned with Roberts Electric.

He was an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Clayton was never one to back down from good ole’ family competition, whether it was euchre, board games, or tubing wars on Lake Wisconsin. He had many talents including fixing and tinkering with any tool put in his hand. He was most proud of the playhouse he and his dad had just finished for his mom.

He is survived by his parents, Randy and Kim Underdahl; brothers, Derek (Dayken) and Austin; beloved girlfriend, Kayla Goth; grandparents, Faye Underdahl, Richard and Marilyn Schroeder; great-grandmother, Ethel Rademacher; and also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Otis Underdahl.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 623 Jefferson Street, DeForest, with Fr. Vincent Brewer officiating. Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Ryan Funeral Home, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established later.
