Anthony Vallese

Verona/Port Clinton, OH – Anthony “Tony” Vallese, age 90, passed away on September 26, 2016. He was born on January 17, 1926 to Dominic and Florence Vallese in Oakfield, New York. He was the youngest of six children.

He was a World War II veteran, who participated in the Battle of the Bulge. While working at US Gypsum in Port Clinton, Ohio, he met the love of his life – the late Elinore M. Migala. They were married in 1954 and had a daughter, Jane.

Tony was an accomplished gardener, and enjoyed grilling tasty dishes for his family and friends. However, his defining trait was that Tony helped others when he could without the expectation of being recognized or thanked.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Elinore in 2014. He is survived by his daughter, Jane and her husband Steve Carrola, and granddaughters, Gina and Sonia Carrola, all who live in Wisconsin. In the Buffalo, New York area, he is survived by his sister, Mary Nicolosi; nieces, Florence (Ben) Hollenbeck and Carol Rizzo; and nephew, Anthony (Luanne) Nicolosi and their families.

A private funeral service was held on Friday, September 30, 2016. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5701 Raymond Road, Madison, WI 53711, or St. John’s Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH, 43452 or to any charity of your choice.
