Obituary
MADISON – Hazel A. Tenney, age 103.5, passed away at her home on Friday, September 30, 2016. She was born and raised in Lake Benton, MN on March 8, 1913 to Sofas and Jessie Lund. Hazel worked for many years at the University Library as an assistant librarian. On October 30, 1954 she married Jerry Tenney at First Methodist Church in Madison. Hazel was a long time member of Olbrich Gardens. She enjoyed gardening, birds, lapidary, wood carving of birds, crossword puzzles, knitting, and most of all the Milwaukee Brewers and Packers.
Hazel is survived by Jerry, her husband of 62 years and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 9 sisters and brothers.
A service will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, October 7, 2016 at SHERMAN AVENUE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 3705 North Sherman Avenue. A visitation will be held from 12:30 PM until time of service on Friday at the church. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday October, 10, 2016 at Elmwood Cemetery in Antigo, WI.
