Obituary
Verona / Richland Center – Alicja T. Miller, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 23, 2016. She was born on March 12, 1939, in Lithuania, the daughter of Ksawery and Jadwiga Saletis. She grew up in Poland, and was proud of her heritage. Alicja met Victor Kozlowski in Chicago where they were married. They moved to a farm in Wisconsin and started their family.
Alicja was a beautiful person inside and out. She had the biggest heart. Her generosity and love for others is a character trait that is rare and will be remembered by all who have been on the receiving end. Alicja gave to anyone in need, even in the times in her life when she did not have much to give.
Despite the hardships in her life, she displayed a positive attitude. She loved to dance and sing, and enjoyed traveling, making friends wherever she went. She loved her family, children and grandchildren. Nine years ago, Alicja was diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia; She would have been an amazing and fun loving grandma, if not for the effects of her disease. Her strong hugs will be missed.
Alicja is survived by her children, Andrew Kozlowski and Madeleine (Jeff) Rossing; grandchildren, Nolan, Maddon and Oliver; a sister, Zofia Kass; nieces, Iwonka (Krzysztof) and Alicja; and ex-husband and dear friend, Victor Kozlowski.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at CALVARY GOSPEL CHURCH, 5301 Commercial Ave., Madison with the Rev. Roy Grant officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service.
