Mary Josephson

Verona/Fitchburg - Mary E. Josephson, age 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 1st, 2016, at the comfort of her home. She was born on May 30, 1936 in Verona, the daughter of James and Hazel (Drum) Cunningham.

Mary was a very hard working, loving and caring woman. She touched the lives of many people, whether it was the years she spent at L & L Foods, the Bank of Verona, playing the organ at church on Sundays or as “Mamma Jo” standing on a motocross track rooting for her boys.

She was an avid baker – making many wedding, confirmation and birthday cakes. Mary was devoted to her family and friends, often gathering them around her table.

She leaves behind her loving family: her sons, Jim (Jody) and Ron Josephson; two grandchildren, Amy (Zach) and Sarah (Damon); sister, Janet (Ted) Slauson; and many beloved friends and relatives.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carol and Lila; and her brother, Alton.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6 pm on Monday, November 14, 2016 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. Enterprise Drive, Verona, with Pastor Nicole Espe officiating. A visitation will be held from 4 pm until the time of services.
