Kathryn Schumann

Windsor - Kathryn "Kay" "Katie" Schumann, age 82, passed away on
Thursday, December 1st, 2016. She was born at home in the Township of
Windsor near DeForest on May 15, 1934. Her parents were Charles and
Marietta (Kohler) Homman. Kay graduated from DeForest High School
with the Class of 1952. She worked at Ohio Chemical and Hult
Chevrolet, which became Thorstad Chevrolet, for 42 years.
She loved to read, dance, sing, be with people, laugh and have fun,
known for her jokes and enjoying hearing more!! She was united in marriage to Daniel Schumann, August 6, 1960.

She is survived by her husband, Dan; her son Steven (Laura) Meixner,
their children, Will (Sara) Meixner and their daughter, Ella, Jeanine
(Ben) LaRue; her daughter, Lynn (Bill) Graff, their children Kai, Kirk
and Keri; her son, Lonny (Beth) Schumann, their children Brooke,
Brianna and Britt; her sister, Judy Sands and her brother, Dave
Homman; her sisters-in-law, Rachel Anderson, Sylvia (Hal) King and
brother-in-law Jeff (Stephanie) Schumann; and many nieces, nephews and
friends.

She is preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, her brother,
Lawrence (Marguerite) Homman, a sister-in-law, Jan Homman, and
brothers-in-law, Robert Anderson and Robert Sands.

Kay says: LOVE, LAUGH, keep old friends and always make new ones.

As per Kay's wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to thank the DeForest Fire and EMS, St. Mary’s
Hospital - 5th and 7th Floors and Home Health United Hospice.
