Obituary
Madison – Sharon Louise Banta died on December 28, 2016. Sharon was born on October 24, 1941 to Gail (Stout) and Lyle Bowell in Richland Center, WI where she went to school with, and eventually married her husband of 57 years, Robert “Bob” James Banta. Together they had two children; Bob and Kim. They eventually moved to Madison where Sharon worked for Oscar Mayers for 32 years. Sharon was an animal lover and will be sorely missed by the many squirrels, birds and stray cats she fed.
Sharon is survived by her husband Bob, son Bob and daughter-in-law Jane and grandson Zach of Cottage Grove. She is further survived by her sister Phyllis (Bob) Kiely of Richland Center and their daughters Sue and Debbie and son Jeff. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Kim.
A private ceremony will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dane County Humane Society.
