Obituary
VERONA- The Rev. Al Braunschweig, age 87, passed away at UW Hospital on January 1, 2017. He was born on March 22, 1929, the son of Alex and Verena Braunschweig, in Watertown. He married Betty Winter on June 6, 1953. He was the pastor at St. James Lutheran Church in Verona for 32 years.
He is survived by his children, Lori Braunschweig, Steve (Jan Williams) Braunschweig, and Mark (Tracey) Braunschweig; a brother, Ralph (Kathy) Braunschweig; and a sister-in-law, Donna Agin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at ST. JAMES LUTHERAN CHURCH, 427 South Main Street, Verona. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. James Lutheran Church.
