Madison – Anita L. Caravello, age 86, passed away on June 7, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. She was born Aug. 21, 1930 in Milwaukee, to Angelo and Jennie (Tortorice) Merli, and grew up in the Greenbush Area in Madison. Anita graduated from Edgewood H.S. in 1948. She married Philip Caravello on May 2, 1953, and together they had 2 children, Paul and Marcia. She was a Cubs fan and loved watching them win the World Series. She loved the Packers, game shows and soap operas. Anita was a long time member of St. James Catholic Church in Madison.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Philip, and her parents. She is survived by her son, Paul J. (Tammy) Caravello; daughter, Marcia (Colin) Caravello-McGee; grandson, Jacob; her good friend, Jan, and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 10th, at Joyce-Ryan Funeral Home, 5701 Odana Road, Madison with Father Gary Wankerl officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery to follow.
