William Fell

MADISON – William “Bear” Fell, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Bear was born on April 7, 1936 in Dane, WI to William and Catherine (Endres) Fell. He grew up in Madison attending East High and graduating from Central High School in 1954. Bear was an active member of the US Army from 1954 until 1957 and then a reserve member until 1962. He married the love of his life, Jacklyn Ann Culp, on September 28, 1957. Bear was employed at Demco for 43 years and Per Mar Security for UW events for 30 years. He was a member of the VFW and the Knights of Columbus. Bear enjoyed bowling, softball, and hockey in the Madison area.

Bear is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jacklyn; children, Timothy (Tilda), William (Laura), Jennifer Miller, and Susanne (Michael) Westphal; grandchildren, Adam (Tara), Amy (Matt) Fink, Madeline, Jacob, Catlain (Andy Kappers) Miller, and Hanna Miller; great grandchildren, Colton Fink, Kane Fink, and Ava; sisters, Phyllis Lewis and Barbara Endres. He is further survived many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his brother Thomas “Rooster”.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, August 7, 2017, at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 North Sherman Avenue, Madison, with Msgr. Charles Schluter presiding. A visitation will be held from 4:00PM until 7:00PM on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 North Sherman Avenue, Madison, and again from 10:00AM until time of Mass at the church on Monday. Entombment at Roselawn Memorial Park with full military honors.
