Obituary
DEFOREST- Elizabeth K. “Katie” Jensen, age 50, passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2017. She was born in Madison on February 24, 1967. She will be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, and aunt. Wherever Katie went, she spread love and joy and her laugh was the light in a dark room. She loved camping, cooking her amazing lasagna, hiking, dancing and being outdoors.
She is survived by her children, Tyler Gauer, Candice Gauer, and Denver Morse; her mother, Kay F. Bown; nephew, Evan Phillips; niece, Emily Phillips; and many extended relatives.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Denver Bown and grandmother, Ada Bown.
Katie’s family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone who has showed an outpouring of support to them during this time.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
