NAPLES, FL / WAUNAKEE, WI – Sue Ann Day, age 61, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Sue was born on March 13, 1956 to Marvin and Barbara (Griswold) Berres in Milwaukee, WI. She graduated from Watertown High School in 1974. Sue married Michael Day on July 10, 1982 in Waunakee, WI. She worked for many years at Credit Union National Association (CUNA). Family and friends were Sue’s passion. She loved to host and entertain and was known for her joy-filled laugh, bright smile, and outstanding cooking. Sue enjoyed her visits to Wisconsin when she would visit her family and friends. She especially delighted in spending time with her daughter and grandchildren and loved teaching them how to bake her famous cheesecakes.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Katie (Jim) Cantrell; grandchildren, Riley, Jack, and Brooke; siblings, Joseph Berres, Jeffrey Berres, Peter (Sheryl Finger) Berres, and Amy (Tony) Goodman. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. Sue is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at JOYCE-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 5701 Odana Road, Madison from 4pm until 7pm.
