Obituary
WAUNAKEE- Max Zachery "Chamby" Chamberlin passed away on September 30th, 2017 in Tempe, Arizona.
Max was born September 5, 1993 at St Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin to parents Michael Thomas Chamberlin and Debra Lynn Nelson. He was a 2012 graduate of Waunakee High School, where he earned All State honors in football and was named Athlete of the Year. After high school Max worked with his family at Vital Signs and attended Madison College for Graphic Design. He moved to Tempe, Arizona and transferred to Arizona State University. An avid writer and artist, Max loved being with friends and his smile lit up the room. He loved sports, making music, and spending time with his beloved girlfriend, Sammie Schaefer.
Max is survived by his father, Michael Thomas Chamberlin (Melissa Frey); his mother, Debra Lynn Chamberlin (Marc Behrend); his brothers, Justin (Julie) Chamberlin, Josh Chamberlin (fiancé, Emily Shallow); his stepbrother, Eric Behrend; his stepsister, Krista Behrend; his paternal grandparents, Ralph and MaryJane Chamberlin; his maternal grandparents, Karen "G,G" and Frank McCoy; his maternal grandparents, Tom and Diane Nelson; his girlfriend, Sammie Schaefer; his second parents, Dave and Kim Schaefer; and little brother, Max Jr. Schaefer; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by, Thomas "Grandpa G" Gorman; and uncle, Jason Gorman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Max’s family to be dispersed to a charity or organization of their choice.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH , 701 S. Century Ave., Waunakee, with the Rev. Karen Locken officiating and the Rev. Doug Locken concelebrating. A private burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until the time of service at the church on Sunday.
