MADISON- William M. “Bill” “Bean” “Buttons” “Billy” Buettner, age 67, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on October 3, 2017. He was born in Shawano on December 9, 1949, the son of Milton S. and Evelyn E. (Marsh) Buettner. Bill was raised in Madison and graduated from East High School in 1968. Bill and his daughter, Kim, were transferred to Delaware to continue his employment with Chrysler Corporation in 1989. After his retirement from Chrysler, Bill followed his daughter back to Wisconsin in 2014.
He enjoyed fishing and hunting with family, was committed to watching the Packers and Brewers, looked forward to his weekly lunch dates with his daughter and visits from his grandpuppies. Bill especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Kim (Randy) Staser; his siblings, Kaye (Joe) McElhone, Darrell “Mike” (Nancy) Buettner, Ellie Buettner, and Theresa (Tanya Wanninger) Buettner; and many additional relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
