Obituary
MADISON – Virginia Roberta Schutz, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Ginny was born on September 24, 1935 in Elroy, WI to Neil and Alice Buchanan. She graduated from Elroy High School. Ginny had a very successful professional career as a secretary at Forest Products Laboratory. She was a long time member of Sherman Avenue United Methodist Church, where she volunteered in various committees. Ginny enjoyed exercising, reading, horses, and collecting elephant figurines. Ginny had a witty sense of humor and will be greatly missed.
Ginny is survived by her brother Bruce (Joan) Buchanan; grand nephew, Christopher Hansen; nieces, Tammy Lee Hansen and Roberta (Robin) Buchanan. She is preceded in death by her sister, Joretta Hansen.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at SHERMAN AVENUE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 3705 North Sherman Avenue, Madison. A visitation will be held from 10:30am until time of service on Thursday at the church. Following the service there will be a luncheon.
