VERONA
Sally E. Matts Healy, age 79, passed away on Sunday, on October 8, 2017, right after the Green Bay Packers Beat the Dallas Cowboys. Sally was born on September 27, 1938 in Madison, to Joseph and Gladys (McGilvra) Matts. She grew up in Verona and graduated from Verona High School in 1956. She worked and retired from UW Continuing Medical Education. Sally married Charles Richard “Dick” Healy on May 28, 1971. She was a member of the Verona Historical Society, Board Member of the Verona Cemetery Association, and Senior Citizen Commission. Sally was a huge Wisconsin Badger Football and Green Bay Packer Fan. Sally loved meeting new people, spending time with friends and family, and was the family historian.
Sally is survived by her son, Scott Alan Ager; brother, Alan William (Donna) Matts; sister-in-law, Kathleen Matts; nieces, Michelle Matts and Nicole (James) Matts Jackson; and nephews, Stefan Matts and Isaac (Anna) Matts. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Dick Healy; and brother, Jerry Matts.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30am on Monday, October 16, 2017 at MEMORIAL BAPTIST CHURCH, 201 South Main Street, Verona, with Pastor Jeremy Scott presiding. A visitation will be held from 9:30am until time of service on Monday at the church. Burial will be at Verona Cemetery.
