Obituary
DEFOREST – Joyce Evelyn Johnston, age 91, went to be with her Maker on Friday October 13, 2017. Joyce was born on March 11, 1926 in Milwaukee, WI to Carl and Florence Bloedorn. She grew up on the family farm, looking after the animals. She attended Lake Mills High School. Joyce enjoyed her life’s work as a CNA, caring for those in need. She loved crafts, and would even make Christmas ornaments for her family. Joyce also had a passion for music, singing, and dancing. Joyce was greatly loved by her family will be remembered for her smiling face and her contagious laugh.
Joyce is survived by her daughters Sharyn Topel and Sherlye (Ron) Miller; grandchildren, Rainie, Trinette, David “Pojo”, Tima, Traci, Amanda, and Molly; 13 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and her cat, Precious. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Joyce was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
