MADISON- Robert J. Skolaski, age 86, died on October 18, 2017. He was born on January 1, 1931, in Madison, the son of John and Johanna (Weber) Skolaski. Robert served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He married Margaret J. Kahl on October 8, 1955. He worked at the U.W. in the Carpenter Shop and was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.
Robert is survived by his wife, Margaret; two sons, Mark A. Skolaski and Paul W. Skolaski; three grandchildren, William R. Skolaski, Rachel S. Skolaski and Cody A. Green; one grandchild; his sister, Cecilia (Lee) Bethel; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Sister Theresita Skolaski, August (Lillian) Skolaski, Richard (Ruth) Skolaski, Bertha Spink, Cathrine Barnes, Julia (Edwin) Wright, Eleanor (James) Strand, Betty (Donald) Wright and Jerome (Lucille) Skolaski; and brother-in-law, Clarence Spink.
The urn committal service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park Chapel, 401 Femrite Dr., Monona, on November 16, 2017 at 12:30 pm.
