Marilyn Millette

Marilyn F. “Sis” Millette, age 73, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Columbia County Health Center in Wyocena. She was born on September 1, 1944 in Baraboo, WI, the daughter of Elmer and Irene (Ziemet) Millette. She graduated from Madison East High School. Sis began working as a candy striper for St. Mary’s at the age of 14. She continued her career there working her way up to the position of Unit Clerk on 5 SW (35+ yrs) until her retirement.

Sis loved crossword puzzles, regular puzzles, playing Farmville, and playing with Liesel and Chex her “kids” (2 cats). She bowled for many years with several of her family members on a women’s league; had a 203 average. She attended many music concerts (Beatles, Beach Boys, Elvis…many LPs). In her youth, she enjoyed taking accordion lessens.

She is survived by brothers, Elmer Millette, Jr and Kenneth Millette; many nieces and nephews; her beloved neighbors; coworkers; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Merva and brother, Roger.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Avenue. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Dane, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Columbia County Health Center, her neighbors on both sides Ken and Brad, Barb, and Brady and Bill for the love, care and assistance they gave Sis over the years.
