Marlene Jenks

MADISON/WATERLOO – Marlene M. Jenks, age 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 15, 2017 at Oak Park Place Rehab. Marlene was born on February 19, 1934 in Kokomo, IN to John and Martha Yelton. She grew up in Valparaiso, IN. Marlene had done secretarial work and also was a companion/house keeper to several people. She was an avid reader and loved learning and studying the Bible. She was a member of the Northside Christian Assembly. She enjoyed cats, horses and all other living creatures and supported the ASPCA and local shelters for many years. Marlene loved to travel and took many bus tours. She also sponsored children through the World Vision Inc. Marlene left behind many friends and will be greatly missed.

A Memorial service will be held at NORTHSIDE CHRISTIAN ASSEMBLY, 709 Northport Dr, Madison, from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday January 13, 2018. Her final resting place will be at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso, IN.
