Obituary
MADISON- Cheryl Ann Jacobson, age 80, passed away at home on January 7, 2018. She was born in Beloit on October 19, 1937, and grew up in Darien, Wisc. Cheryl married Robert Jacobson in Darien in 1955. She worked at Meriter Retirement Center in Madison for 30 years until her retirement in 2000. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, VFW Post 1318 Auxiliary, and Paws Awhile Teddy Bear Club.
Cheryl is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert; her children, Kevin Jacobson and Lisa Wehrmann; grandchildren, Jeremy Wehrmann (Laken Frost), Carrie Wehrmann (Erich Schlender) and Alec Wehrmann; great-grandchild, Wolfgang Schlender; sister-in-law, Anita (Donald) Herring; and her cat, Lily.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth McKinney; aunt, Helen Veley; son-in-law, James Wehrmann; and sister-in-law, Elaine (Walter) Mathison.
Cheryl’s family would like to extend their deepest thanks to Agrace HospiceCare for their help and care of her.
A celebration of life will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, January 15, 2018, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Monday.
