Obituary
MILWAUKEE/PORT WASHINGTON – Julius G. Mueller, age 91, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Oak Ridge Assisted Living in Madison. He was born in Milwaukee, WI on April 12, 1926, the son of Julius and Emma (Jastrow) Mueller. He married the love of his life, Mary (Horvath) Mueller, on December 4, 1948 at Hope Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Julius was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Washington and later after moving to DeForest, a member at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Sun Prairie. He worked for Midwest Outerwear in Port Washington where he was the Executive Vice President and Designer. While working there, Julius designed the first snow mobile suit in the world. Newsweek magazine named him one of the top 10 designers in the nation in 1974. Later on he became a private
business owner in Rhinelander, WI.
Julius is survived by his children, Cheryl (Daryl) Kiedrowski, Stephen (Pam), David, and John (Carla); 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He is further survived by other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary, his daughter, Victoria (Richard) Aubin; brothers, Victor, Roger and Eugene; and his parents, Julius and Emma.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00AM at BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH, 300 Broadway Drive, Sun Prairie, on Friday, January 19, 2018. A visitation will be held from 9:00AM until time of service at the church on Friday. Burial at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin.
