Kenneth Lloyd Davies, age 95, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. He was born on July 4, 1922 in Prairie du Sac, WI the son of Lloyd and Fannie (Clemens) Davies. Ken was raised in Lodi, WI. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII, where he received a Purple Heart. He attended Madison Business College, which is where he met his wife, Mildred Platz. Ken and Millie were married on June 1, 1947, and they were blessed to share 70 years of marriage. Ken held various positions in finance including controller of the former Ohio Medical Products until his retirement. They opened their home and hearts for 35 years, by caring for foster children.

Ken was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church, where he is an elder. He greatly enjoyed woodworking and made curio cabinets as well as other furniture. He also enjoyed gardening, photography, stamp collecting, camping with family and friends and spending time at their cottage, which he and his family rebuilt. Ken remained very active until his passing.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Millie; his children, Karen and Jim Lindemer, and Cynthia and Bonnie Davies; his grandchildren, Julie (Kevin) Raymond, Michael (Sarah) and Brian (Katie); great-grandchildren, Emily, Drew, Arianna, Lauren, Jayden, Lucas, Kyle and Gracie; and his “adopted” son, Chet Hermansen and foster grandchild, Samantha Tyler-Blood.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jeffrey.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Avenue, with Rev. Dale Chapin officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Lodi.
