NORTH FREEDOM -Robert L. Finberg “Uncle Lee”, age 81, North Freedom, passed away at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg WI on February 21, 2018 with his loving wife Judy by his side. Lee was born in Ortonville, MN to Russell Finberg and Gertrude Babb on August 04, 1936. Lee graduated from Clinton Minnesota High School and then joined the military, first serving in the army, then enlisting in the navy. Lee was united in marriage to Marlys England in 1968.
Robert worked for Madison Kipp Corp. for 35 years where he made many lifelong friends. Lee was united in marriage to his best friend Judy Flemming in 1993. Lee was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed watching the Packers, and an occasional trip to Ho-Chunk Casino. In his younger years, Lee enjoyed playing guitar and singing for family and friends passing his love of music down to his son Jack. Lee was a talented man in many ways and could fix or build most anything with his hands.
Lee is survived by his wife Judy Finberg, son Jack (Debbie) Finberg, daughter Kimberlee (John) Crowley, daughter Julie Engelke, son Robert Finberg Jr., step-son George Sergent, step-daughter Jeanette (Donald) Georgeson, sister-in-law Shirley Finberg, grandchildren Stacy, Shannon, Allison, Casey, Curtis (Bekah), Jason, Troy, Donald, Daniel, Mackenzie, Mason, Tanner, great grandchildren Destiny, Payton, Tajah, Tyson, Sarin Lynn, Justus, Ezra, Anna, Lei’Loni, and many nieces and nephews.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Neil, John, and Thomas Finberg, step-son Jerry Sergent and Marlys England.
The family would like to express a special thank you to the wonderful staff from Agrace Hospice for the kind and compassionate care provided to Lee at home and the beautiful facility in Fitchburg.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 5pm on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest. A visitation will be from 3pm until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
