Obituary
Madison/Watertown-Myra J. Moran, age 87, passed away at home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. She was born July 13, 1930 in Waukegan, Il. Myra married Edward Moran. Edward was in the Airforce and him and Myra moved about the south. She loved military life and wouldn’t have changed it for the world. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Madison where she also sang in the choir. Myra enjoyed playing horseshoes, knitting, sewing, listening to all music and bowling which she did until the age of 82. She was generous with her time making pillows and blankets not only for her family but for local homeless shelters. Myra loved to drive and would talk about how sad she was when she was finally unable to do so. Her family and friends were important to her especially grandkids and great grandchild. She attended all her grandchildren’s sports and dance events and also liked to sing happy birthday to each of them.
Myra is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Larry) Jaggers; her grandchildren, James (Amanda) Mell, Nichole Mell, Brittany Bauhs, Darien Moran and Ashley Moran; great-grandson, Mason Mell; siblings, Judy Heller, Jerry Larimer and Linda Bender; and dear friends, Jackie Mackesey and Sharon Mell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Moran; sons, Donald and Thomas Moran; mother, Mildred Larimer; stepdad, Parker Larimer; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Peschl ; mother-in-law, Catherine Moran; brothers, Bud Larimer and Peck Larimer; sisters, Adrienne and Pat Sandersfeld; and special friend, Wyatt Frey.
A Memorial Service will be held at 6pm on Monday, March 19, 2018 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N Sherman Ave, Madison. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4pm until the time of service.
