Brigitte Adele Mayr, age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Meriter Hospital. She was born on October 12, 1940 in Germany, the daughter of Josef and Anne (Reidelbach) Weber. Brigitte came to the United States in 1964 and was proud to become an American citizen. She was united in marriage to Julius T. Mayr on October 29, 1976. They spent 42 wonderful years together, raising their “Brady Bunch” family. Brigitte loved tending to her flower gardens and admiring the fantastic variety of birds that their little farm attracted.
She is survived by her husband, Julius; her children, Audrey Deschner, Patrizia (Patrick) DeMinter, Dureen (Eric) Amundson, Cindy Miller, Linda Mayr, Kenneth Mayr and Sean (Peggy Grove) Deschner; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Annegretel Berger.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Ryan Funeral Home, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest.
