DEFOREST- Mark Jay Bedker, age 55, was called home unexpectedly on April 2, 2018. Mark was born on December 13, 1962. Brought home by loving parents, Ken and Darlyene Bedker, Mark was a special, chosen gift. Mark graduated from DeForest High School. He went on to attend Madison Business College to study accounting. In 1986, Mark married his high school sweetheart, Lisa Bliefernicht. Mark’s son, Mathew, was born on September 8, 1993. He discovered a new kind of love only a father can understand.
Mark was a manager of several different establishments, an avid singer in the church choir, a lover of cats, and an adventure enthusiast. With a change in his journey, Mark made many new friends along the way. In those friendships he met his love, Scott Farrell, in March of 2016. In December of 2016 Mark became engaged to Scott. With a heart full of love, together they continued on the adventure.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Darlyene Bedker; father, Ken Bedker; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Mark is survived by his son, Mathew Bedker; sister, Joy Bedker; and fiancé, Scott Farrell.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018, from 12 noon until 3 p.m., at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, DEFOREST CHAPEL, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest.
