Doris Cole

MADISON- Doris D. “Dori” Cole, age 48, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2018 at UW Hospital’s ICU. She was born September 4, 1969, the adopted daughter of the late Betty and Wayne Cole. She was the biological daughter of Diane Horschak. Dori was a graduate of East High School, volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital and worked for the Department of Transportation for many years.

Dori was a wonderful and loving soul to everyone, and always had a smile and something kind to say.

She is survived by her siblings, Roger (Phoebe), Pam Kleiber, Katie Cole, and Tim (Cathy); her nieces and nephews, Sue (Jeffrey) Jones, R.J. (Amy) Cole, Andy (Maria) Cole, Gillian Pagaliro, Chris (Jen) Cole, and Adam (Brooke) Cole; her 13 great-nieces and nephews; her great-great-niece and nephew; her aunts, Jess Marlott and Pat Hamn; her biological mother, Diane Horschak; and her half-sister, Debi (Patrick) Tauschek and her children, Jacqueline and Nicholas.

Dori’s family would like to thank the UW Transplant Department and the nurses and doctors at UW Hospital who took such great care of her during her many stays.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the UW Health Transplant Fund.

A Celebration of Dori’s Life will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at COMMUNITY OF CHRIST CHURCH, 5110 Kevins Way, Madison. All are invited to a luncheon following the service at the church.
