Obituary
MADISON-Paul G. Sletten, age 81, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was born on August 21, 1937 in La Crosse, WI, the son of Jim and Helen (Kujak) Sletten. Paul moved to Madison at age 10 and graduated from Madison East in 1955. He married Phyllis A. Nesseth on March 2, 1957 in La Crosse, WI. He started employment at Hault’s Chevrolet and then later worked at All State as an insurance adjuster for 30 years. Paul retired in 1993. During his retirement Paul was able to travel with his wife Phyllis. He was an avid Badger fan, hunter and golfer. Paul had two holes-in-one. Paul was a true family man. He was a scout leader, coach, mentor and frequent spectator at his kids, grand-kids and great-grand kid’s activities.
Paul is survived by his wife Phyllis; three children, Linda (Dean) Johnson, David (Kathy) Sletten, Michael Sletten; ten grandchildren, Megan (Eric) Taylor, Eric (Beth) Johnson, Michelle (Ian) Maland, Lora, Matthew ( Leah) Sletten, Aubrie (Diondray) Premo, Elizabeth (Michael) Sletten, Carolyn (Josh) Paetow, Rebecca (Nathan) Kirch and Beth (Adam) Hanson; thirteen great-grandchildren, Riley, Kailin, Owen, Mason, Brienna, Braylon, Cade, Emerson, Adrienne, Brynn, Hannah, Finn, and Will; brother, Steve (Janice) Sletten; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law LeeAnn Sletten.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 5001 North Sherman Ave. Madison, WI, 53704. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SSM Health Hospice.
