Obituary
DALEYVILLE- Sierra Mae Tanner, age 22, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018, from injuries sustained in a car accident. She was born in Madison on February 21, 1996, the daughter of Michael Tanner, Jr. and Dawn Haak. She graduated from Mount Horeb High School in 2014.
She worked at Dorn True Value in Madison. Sierra loved spending time with her guinea pig, Dexter, and her family. She will be remembered for putting her loved ones before herself and being very true to her word. She loved helping people and that legacy will continue on in the gifts she was able to provide through her organ donation.
She is survived by her parents, Mike (Nancy) Tanner and Dawn Haak; her brother, Michael Tanner; grandparents, Randy and Bernadine Haak and Carol Tanner; her great-grandmother, June Bulicek; her boyfriend, Jordan Johnson; and her many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Michael Tanner, Sr. and William Vosen; and her great-grandparents, Helen and Wilson Becker, Gertie and Kenny Haak, and Mary Jane and Delven Vosen.
Sierra’s family would like to extend a very grateful thanks the staff at the UW Hospital for their excellent care and compassion of her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to the Dane County Humane Society.
A celebration of Sierra’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 Enterprise Drive, Verona. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
