DEFOREST - Marvin L. Stebbins, age 64, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. He was born in Madison on February 20, 1954 to birth parents, Kenneth S. and Margaret (Replogle) Stebbins. Marvin was raised by his foster parents, Russell and Florence Bordson. He was a 1972 graduate of DeForest High School. Marvin married his high school sweetheart, Jeanne Callaway on June 23, 1973. Their union was blessed with three sons and and later six grandchildren.
Marvin “Marv” was a hard worker. His employment included 10 ½ years at Oscar Mayer, 10 years as an Independent Insurance Agent, 10 years in car sales, and 15 years as a local semi-truck driver for Jahn Transfer. Marv was an active member of Saint Olaf Catholic Church and enjoyed helping as an usher and gift bearer. In his spare time, he enjoyed weight lifting and motorcycling. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Marv is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jeanne Stebbins; sons, Gregory Russell Stebbins, Brent Willard Stebbins, Joshua Marvin Stebbins; grandchildren, Zachary Marvin, Hailey Rae, Chance William, Kobi Dean, Madelyn Marie, Jackson Joshua; brothers, Kelvin, Keith, and Michael Stebbins; sister, Karen Oliver; numerous nieces and nephews; other family, friends, and dogs, Teddy and Bear.
Marv was preceded in death by his birth parents, foster parents, sister, Katherine Parker, brothers, Kenneth W., Kurtis, Kerwin, and Merlin Stebbins; and parents-in-law, Willard “Bill” and Doris Callaway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 21, 2018 at SAINT OLAF CATHOLIC CHURCH, 623 Jefferson St., DeForest, with Father Vincent Brewer presiding.
