MADISON – Darryl E. Gillaum, age 54, passed away on August 16, 2019 at the Allis Care Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was born on October 20, 1964 in Hughes, Arkansas to parents, Rena Gillaum and Robert Ousley, Sr.
Darryl worked in production and assembly for Shoep’s Ice Cream. He enjoyed talking and claiming he’s never wrong. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and nephew, Duriel M. Gillaum Jr.
Darryl is survived by his children, Shawn, Sharon and Tryphenia Sykes, Ferris Lucas, and Steve Johnson; siblings, Robert and Curtis Ousley, James Robinson, Sharon, Larry and Vanessa Gillaum, LaVerne and Yolanda Bell, and Linda Thomas; aunts and uncles, Cora Brown, Auntie Maudie, Tyrone Mallry; twenty-five nieces and nephews; in-laws, Christine Robinson, Donnie Bradley, Lisa Miller, Tammy Brown, Annette Morris; special friends, Linda Kincy, Anthony Harpor, Tiffany Phillips.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Gillaum; parents, Rena Gillaum and Robert Ousley Sr.; siblings, Antwon Gillaum Bradley and Danielle Gillaum.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
