Pauline Wentland

Pauline Marie Wentland, age 80, passed away on April 9, 2025, at the Legacy of DeForest. She was born on July 6, 1944, in Madison, Wisconsin to parents Paul and Catherine (Endres) Spangler. Pauline married Ervin "Bill" Wentland on December 26, 1964, at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church in Sun Prairie. She was a member of Lake Windsor Country Club for 41 years. She was employed at General Telephone/Verizon for 32 years as an executive secretary. Pauline enjoyed reading and playing cards, especially bridge. She cherished the lifelong friends she created through her card groups. She loved entertaining and hosting parties, especially with her neighbors. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Pauline is survived by her son Mark Wentland and his children Justin and Madeline (Nate Tadisch) Wentland; daughter-in-law Sue and her children Emilee and Ryan Wentland; her siblings Mary Kay (Jim) Robinson, Dick (Lisa) Spangler, Lois (Robert) Frank; brother-in-law John Wentland; very special cousin Sharon; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ervin "Bill"; son Randy; sister Gloria McCann; stepfather Francis Wagner; and sister-in-law Nancy. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Legacy of DeForest and to Bristol Hospice. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest, WI.
