Jennifer Louise (Fischer) Kuckuk, age 56, passed away peacefully Friday, July 10, 2020, finally free from her long struggle with leukemia that began in 2012.

Jenny is a ’82 graduate of Madison West HS, and the UW-Madison in ’86 where she majored in Art and Graphic Design. She was a natural artist, who saw the beauty of everyday life and translated it through her work. She was married in ’87 shortly before beginning the 30 year odyssey that was the life she shared with Rob in the US Marines. She made a new home for her family following each of the 15 moves to 10 different states. She achieved her life’s goal in 2017 of building her “Forever Home”, returning to her native Wisconsin for the view, and being closer to her parents. Jenny’s passion was helping and supporting her fellow Marine spouses through separations too numerous to count, long nights of waiting, deployments during war and peace, and joyous family reunions that define life in the service.

Jenny will be remembered through the three beautiful, independent and resilient children she raised. She taught her daughters to stand on their own and follow their dreams. She taught her son to be a gentleman in all things. Her every effort in life was directed towards the emotional health and physical well-being of her family. Jenny’s last years were made joyful through frequent visits to and by her children, having her husband close, sharing in the joy of two weddings, spoiling her grandchildren, reconnecting with childhood friends and spending time with her sister, brother, father and mother.

She is survived by Rob, her husband of 33 years, of Cottage Grove, WI; daughters, Emily Kuckuk of Chicago, IL, Betsy Clough (Kuckuk) of Cambridge, VT; son, 2ndLt Sam Kuckuk, USMC of Stafford, VA; father, John Fischer Sr.; sister, Jane Miller (Fischer) of Madison, WI; brother, John (Gus) Fischer Jr. of Stoughton, WI; and sister, Sara Nelson (Fischer) of Kennewick, WA. She will miss her grandchildren Lydia Kuckuk and Maxwell Clough dearly. She joins her mother Josephine in heaven.
