Nancy J. DeForest, age 69, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born on July 24, 1950 in Burlington, Iowa, the daughter of Grier and Reeda (Jenkins) Elgin. Nancy worked as a sales rep for many years. She was united in marriage to James DeForest on April 1, 1994.
Nancy was a natural caregiver and was also an animal and bird lover. In her younger years she loved to go country line dancing with Jim. She also loved to collect snow globes and precious moments.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; her sons, Doug (Kris) DeVilbiss and Danny DeVilbiss; grandchildren, Samantha and Matthew and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elaine Fredrickson.
