Obituary
Arlene S. Derra, age 84 of Sun Prairie, died peacefully with her daughter by her side on Sunday, November 29, 2020. She was born on April 14, 1936 in Madison, the daughter of Raymond and Effie Hancock. On March 5, 1955 Arlene married the love of her life Bob at The Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa. Survivors include her son, Steve (Sherry) Derra of California; daughter, Peggy (Doug) Albedyll of Necedah; 4 grandchildren: Derek Bickle, Steven and Emily Derra, Melody (Ben) Juve; daughter-in-law, Dianne (Marvin) Wollschlager of Necedah; great grandchildren: Kaiden, Jade, Madison and Piper; sisters-in-law: Joan Derra and Donna Derra; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob; her parents; sister Betty Mundon; and several brothers and sisters-in-law. Her daughter would like to thank the wonderful nurses of 3SW at St. Mary’s Hospital and the staff at the Cottages of Madison. There will not be a funeral service. Burial of Arlene’s cremains will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Wisconsin, 620 S. 76th St., Milwaukee, WI 53214.
