I was lucky to have been Kay's coworker for many years in the OT Dept at CWC. Ours was a tight- knit group at that time and I have so many wonderful memories of her. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I miss u mom !! For everything u did for me. The picnics down at the park, swim lessons, little league, Boy Scouts, all the patching and sewing of my holy jeans, and so much more. I know I was a pain in the arse kid but u had the patience to deal with me. The extra meals because I wouldn't eat anything with cheese on it or I wouldn't try anything new. But u stayed the course and I somehow grew out of that !! U are the reason I love nature so much, we were in the woods a lot growing up. I I feel u when I'm in them now. U overcame a lot of things in ur life mom and u always came out smiling, I don't know how u did it. Thank you so much mom, u were so beautiful!! u really were everything to me. I love u ❤️❤️

In memory of Bonna Kay Nelson: Although I only met you a couple of times, I remember your kindness. It is truly reflected in your daughter Sarah. She was one of the first people I met at Camp Black Hawk. I always treasured her friendship which is a reflection of you and the family. Rest In Peace Kay. Lisa Farness

Kay's love of nature and reading has been passed down to her children and grandchildren. What a wonderful legacy. Sending love and prayers to the Nelson, Rokos and Howells families. -- James, Susan and Nancy
