Obituary
Verona – Lee D Purdy, age 88, passed away on July 29, 2021, in Verona, WI. He was born on August 20, 1932, in Medford, WI to parents Edgar and Ruth (Reid) Purdy.
Lee married Catherine Adler on June 7, 1958, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Middleton. Lee proudly served in the United States Army. He believed strongly in his faith and was a lifelong member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Verona, and a member of the Knights of Columbus St Andrew’s Verona Council 11155. Lee had worked at the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District for 37 years. He enjoyed fixing things, gardening, traveling, and restoring old cars.
Lee is survived by his wife of 63 years, Catherine “Cathy”; 3 children, Daniel, Carole (Greg), and Wayne (Tania); 2 grandchildren, Colton and Sierra; siblings, Dean (Cheri), Jeanette (Jim), Nancy, and Lynn; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Dick (Marie), Geraldine (Mickey), Virginia (Ken), and Marilyn (Lee), brother-in-laws, Gil and Tom.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Andrew Catholic Church, Verona.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 301 N Main St., Verona. A visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Interment to follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
