Father Jim will always be so fondly remembered by the McNichols family. I will never forget all the times he came to Sunday brunch at our big table, after 11:30 mass(we were late to mass of course:)...I remember his great sense of humor, and great sense of humanity. I was so thankful for his friendship with my parents and his presence in our lives. There will never be another like him. He epitomized what a catholic priest should be. RIP, Fr Jim.

A sweet, humorous, gentle and huggable Jesus-like Priest. We loved him to pieces. He will be missed and remembered fondly.

We were so blessed to have Father Jim at St. Peters. He was the perfect sidekick for Father Roger. Ill always remember his sermons started with a humorous anecdote which keep you interested. My son (age 3) once asked him if he was a pirate. Father Jim looked at him and replied, Im not anymore, but I used to be.

I grew up across the street from St. Marys. I spent a lot of time playing in the tulip garden and roller skating in the parking lot. Father Jim was always so kind to me. Even when Id sneak into mass by myself having no idea what was going on but was a curious little girl wanting to learn about God. Since that time I have not encountered a Priest as revered as Father Jim. May he Rest In Peace.
