Mernelda “Char” Koehler, age 78, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022. Char was born on January 6, 1944, to Robert and Mernelda Meyer in Madison, WI. Char worked at Oscar Mayer for 24 years, retiring in 1998. Char enjoyed all outdoor activities including snowmobiling, boating, yard games and swimming. Char also loved to shop (never said no to shopping), going to the casino and playing cards, especially euchre. Char is survived by her son, Bob Koehler: siblings, Bob Meyer, Ada Rose, Sara Strain, Glenann Yahnke, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with the Funeral Service starting 7:00 pm on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Ryan Funeral Home, 2418 N. Sherman Ave Madison, WI. Burial will take place at 11:30 am on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Highland Memory Gardens, 3054 County Road BB in Cottage Grove, WI.
