Belinda "Babe" Meyer
October 01, 1937 - January 03, 2025
Obituary
Belinda L. “Babe” Meyer (Moran), 87, of Morrisonville, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 1st, 1937, in Morrisonville WI to Claude “Ted” and Frances Moran.
Babe graduated from Deforest High School in 1955 and went on to work many years for the United States Armed Forces Institute of Animal Health. On September 19, 1959, she married the love of her life, Donald J. Meyer, at Spring Prairie Lutheran Church. In 1963 they welcomed their wonderful daughter Kelly, and Babe became a stay-at-home mom and dedicated herself to her family.
As Kelly grew older, Babe reentered the workforce, working as a sales representative in the jewelry department at The Boston Store and Roger’s & Holland’s. Eventually, Babe transitioned to the Deforest Middle School, where she spent many years working in the kitchen.
In 1994 she welcomed her only grandchild, Alexandria “Alex”. Babe stayed active by volunteering at St. Mary’s Hospital Gift Shop and watching Alex.
Babe’s favorite day of the week was always Wednesday – family dinner night, where she cherished the time spent playing euchre with Kelly, Alex and family.
Babe was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, and her sisters Judy (Robert) Dushack, Alvera (Doug) Sellers, and Diana (Louie) Parr. She is survived by her daughter Kelly Meyer (Dan Kritz), granddaughter Alexandria (Nick) Chitek, brother Phillip (Sue) Moran, and dearest nephew Michael Parr.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Agrace Hospice for their compassionate support during Babe’s final months.
There will be no funeral services per Babe’s wishes. Memorials can be made out to United in Christ Lutheran Church, Morrisonville.

I remember Babe talking at the post office years ago when Orville and I lived in Morrisonville. She had a great sense of humor and I will remember her kindness. I went to school with Kelly and we graduated in 1981 at DeForest High School. Sadly, I lost my father, Orville, seven years ago, but I am still living and have lived in Madison for the past seven years alone. In any case, I will always cherish what little time I had with Babe and will miss her. God bless!

We are so sorry to hear of Babes passing. A special lady and a blessing to many. Don and Babe always had a smile on their face. Enjoyed running into them out and about and especially at the Thunderbird Restaurant...so many years ago now.
